Description: Doubletop is the highest of the trail-less peaks and also provides the finest view. The summit is in a mature, but not too thick spruce and balsam forest. As with all the trail-less peaks, there is a canister marking the highest point. Please sign the register at the summit.
A short distance to the southeast there is a spectacular view to the south and west. From this point there is very little evidence of civilization. There is also a good view on the eastern or lower of the summits (3,850'). Access is via bushwhack.

Most routes follow the ridge from Seager or from Frost Valley to the east. Be sure to get permission from Frost Valley YMCA if you choose to climb that way as access is severely restricted.
Contact the caretaker Bill Scholl at (845) 586-4056 before climbing Doubletop, since part of the summit is on private land.
