Catskill 3500' Central Summits
Balsam Lake Mountain Fire Tower
The Central summits are bound in the north by the Halcott Mountain Wild Forest and Peekamoose Wilderness at its south. It is home to the Catskills highest bushwhack summit Doubletop Mountain.
All these peaks are found on the NY-NJ Trail Conference Map # 42.
The major peaks in this area are:
UM = Unmaintained Trail TL = trail-less
TL/CA = Trail-less with canister.
FT = Fire Tower
