Description: Lone Mountain is a peak in the southern Catskill wilderness. It rises up out of the Neversink Valley. There is a view towards Table south of the summit and a view towards Slide west of the summit.
Access is via a bushwhack down the ridge from the summit of Table Mountain or a longer bushwhack up from the fisherman’s path along the Neversink River. Lone is usually climbed with Rocky Mountain, but beware of the thick balsam in the col between the two. Be sure to sign in at the summit canister.
