Description: Rusk Mountain is in the range west of Hunter Mountain and rises up out of the valleys of West Kill Creek and Schoharie Creek. The summit is not too dense and a little searching will find a nice view near the top.
The easiest and shortest access is from the Hunter Mountain parking area near the end of Spruceton Road. It is also sometimes climbed directly from Hunter. Be sure to sign in at the summit canister.
